Sharon, Bram & Friends – Farewell Tour 2019

Canadian treasures Sharon Hampson and Bram Morrison are embarking on a nation-wide 40th Anniversary farewell tour!  As part of their year-long anniversary celebration these concerts mark the final opportunity for fans to say good-bye, and ‘Skinnamarink’ with Sharon & Bram to for the very last time.

Sharon & Bram’s 40th Anniversary Farewell Tour is part of the duo’s Thank You for the Music initiative, meant to shine a light on the importance of coming together to sing – as families and as communities right across Canada – to embrace the values of togetherness, diversity and inclusiveness.  The initiative includes the release of six new singles, including ‘The Colour Song’ released November 9th and ‘The Hug Song’ released on February 8th.  The last single will be a brand-new version of their beloved trademark song Skinnamarink with additional lyrics that will launch a national Canadian simultaneous sing along. The duo also plans to publish a picture book of Skinnamarink through Tundra Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

Since 1978, Sharon Hampson and Bram Morrison have been pre-eminent in all aspects of family entertainment across North America as members of the trio “Sharon, Lois & Bram”. Together, the threesome produced over twenty recordings, beginning with their iconic One Elephant, Deux Éléphants. They have appeared in every major concert hall in Canada, and many in the United States including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the White House in Washington. They have received countless awards, including Gold and Platinum Records and JUNO awards for Best Children’s Album. To date, they have sold millions of albums worldwide and over 18 million people have viewed the Elephant Show Skinnamarink. For their years of work providing the best in participatory music for children and their families, Sharon and Bram, along with Lois, have been inducted into The Order of Canada, the highest honour in the country.
